Nightguards for Bruxism
Did you know that stress doesn’t only affect your overall health? It also has the ability to damage your tooth enamel! Teeth grinding, or bruxism, is a common condition where you grind or clench your teeth together for long periods of time. It most often occurs while you sleep, which is why we prescribe nightguards! These oral appliances are designed to fit your smile exactly and give it the protection it needs throughout the night.

So we perform oral cancer screenings as part of your routine visit. If we discover red or white patches of tissue, long-term oral sores, or lumps, bumps, and thickenings of tissue, we’ll partner you with an oral surgeon or physician so you can receive further testing and treatment if necessary.

The good news is we can replace your silver filling with one made from composite resin, a material that can be easily molded and shaded to match your existing enamel. Most fillings only take one visit to complete, yet they offer 10 years of protection for your natural tooth.
